With the new 787 Dreamliner and the 747-8 Freighter programs
preparing for first flight, Boeing will soon embark on the biggest
simultaneous flight-test programs in its history. It’s
an especially exciting time for the many Boeing pilots who have
trained and prepared for what comes next -– several thousand
hours flying the new planes before they are certified and turned
over to customers.

For these Boeing employees, a day in the office sometimes means
jumping into the world’s largest indoor swimming pool as
they prepare the way for future astronauts to visit the International
Space Station. The pool, designed by Boeing and used by NASA,
holds 6.2 million gallons (23.5 million liters) of water and
is used to simulate the weightless conditions experienced in
space.
