STANDING TALL
The Sea-Based X-Band Radar sails out for a series of sea trials over the upcoming months before cruising to its home port of Adak, Alaska. A Boeing-led industry team integrated and delivered SBX to the U.S. Missile Defense Agency earlier this year. With a height of more than 250 feet (76 meters), the SBX radar is the world's largest, most sophisticated X-band radar and can provide early warning of incoming ballistic missile threats.
