The Faces of Technology
Amy Leonard
American troops defending freedom overseas are not
forgotten. Back home in Houston, Amy Leonard is watching out for them.
She is working to help design a product that will keep warfighters out
of harm's way. "I have a close friend whose husband was serving in
Iraq," says Leonard, a software engineer on the U.S. Army's Future
Combat Systems program. She was drawn to engineering because she grew
up surrounded by people involved in America's space exploration effort.
"I know firsthand how our men and women in uniform are laying their
lives on the line for us every day. I'm proud to be part of an important
Boeing program that will help to protect them and bring them safely home."
