The Faces of Technology

Gerry Nissen
"This really is a great place to be," says Gerry Nissen, a Phantom Works engineer-scientist in Huntington Beach, Calif. He has worked at Boeing for 39 years, most recently on the integration of vehicle health management systems into the Future X high-speed demonstrator, a precursor to the X-37 reusable spaceplane. "Engineering is an expansion of science research. This is a multifaceted company, and opportunities abound. We have the opportunity to move from one job to another. We are in no way limited. I love science, and I love working for a forward-looking company."
