The Faces of Technology

Dharam Arora
"I'm not satisfied until every person who touches our jetliners—the pilots, the crew, the mechanics, the ground service people, the passengers—just say, 'Wow, what a great airplane,'" says Dharam Arora. As the Commercial Airplanes Services focal for the 787 program, he works with customers in the field—often at the SeaTac Airport flight ramp in Seattle—to keep Boeing design engineers informed about what airlines need for the most efficient service and maintenance. "Before I worked here, I used to drive by Boeing and see those miracles of engineering on the runway. Now I'm a part of developing them as concepts for the future."
