The Faces of Technology

Dino Cerchie
"Engineering curiosity drew me to helicopters," says Dino Cerchie, an engineer in Mesa, Ariz., who as program manager for the Advanced Little Bird Programs is helping to bring revolutionary rotorcraft to life. "A machine that can fly while stationary in the air and then move with such agility was what I wanted to work on. Now when I look at them flying I see and remember the unique people that I've worked with in the design of each one. Every piece of every aircraft has a story." Referring to the different models of the Little Bird rotorcraft including the unmanned demonstrator, Cerchie says, "Now, we're working on several new chapters in the story of the Little Bird."
