It was the quality of the people who work in the West Hills, Calif., Laser and Electro-Optics facility that convinced Malini Jain that Boeing was the place for her. "This is an intellectual powerhouse," says Jain, a systems engineer for the past two years who works on developing algorithms to restore images from ground, air and space platforms. But it was her dad, then a university professor in image processing, who sparked her interest in engineering. "His work inspired me at a very early age to go into a technical field, and the people here make it all worthwhile," she says. "They are so bright and so easy to work with. I am learning from them every day."
