Boeing technical employees continued to receive honors from their industry peers in 2004. "We are very proud of the external technical recognition we have received during the year. These awards have tremendous value to the honorees and to Boeing because it helps to build our technical reputation inside and outside the company and help to make Boeing an employer of choice," said Hank Queen, vice president of Engineering and Manufacturing for Commercial Airplanes and corporate executive sponsor of the Boeing Technical Excellence program. "They also help us to shape the aerospace agenda, bring diverse and innovative ideas to the company, and leverage development opportunities for Boeing leaders and innovators. It also ensures a diverse and innovative global technical and leadership pipeline" of future employees, he said.
