Approximate speed, in Mach, achieved by NASA's Hyper-X (or X-43A) research vehicle on Nov. 16. That speed, the fastest ever for an air-breathing aircraft, equals about 7,200 mph (11,600 kilometers per hour). As part of NASA's X-43A team, Boeing Phantom Works designed the vehicle, the airframe thermal protection systems, and flight control and navigation systems.

Projected revenue payload capability in pounds (101 metric tons) of the forthcoming 777 Freighter. Boeing Commercial Airplanes said Nov. 15 it will offer a cargo airplane based on its 777-200LR (Longer Range) airplane. The 777 Freighter will fly farther than any other freighter and will provide more capacity than any twin-engine cargo airplane.
