Name the service and Shared Services likely provides it.

As shown in this photo essay, Shared Services supports the people of Boeing by making sure the thousands of company computers work properly; providing work-site security and fire protection; addressing safety and environmental issues—and offering numerous other essential services.

Shared Services helps keep the company running smoothly. And by providing the best value, it contributes to the bottom line: Since 1998, Shared Services Group has saved the company $1.4 billion.

A key focus of the team is improving the experience for its customers—Boeing employees companywide—by providing easy access to services. The simple-to-use Employee Timekeeping System ensures employees get paid promptly and correctly, while TRIPS helps them plan business travel online at substantial savings. Shared Services instructors take some of the thousands of hours of training they deliver each year directly to the worksite—at the assembly line and other locations.

Services extend beyond the workplace. On-site daycare is provided at two Puget Sound locations. Employees can seek a helping hand through the Shared Services–provided Employee Assistance Program or take care of the body as well as the mind through more than 300 fitness centers and recreational clubs companywide.

The following photos show the people of Shared Services performing the myriad tasks that help make things go easier each day for all Boeing people.
